Changan Automobile's production and sales volume jumped to third in the country in the first half

In the first half of this year, Changan Automobile Group has made remarkable progress, surpassing the Second Automobile Group in both production and sales, securing a top-three position in China's automotive industry. With a market share exceeding 10%, the company has demonstrated strong growth, outperforming the national average by a significant margin. According to authoritative data, from January to June, Changan sold a total of 271,660 vehicles, marking a 34.1% year-on-year increase. Meanwhile, its production reached 264,583 units, up 33.7% compared to the same period last year. The group also achieved a revenue of 14.43 billion yuan, reflecting a 49.1% rise in sales revenue. This performance highlights Changan’s impressive momentum. Nationally, total automobile production for the first half of the year reached 2.671 million units, up 27.1%, while sales totaled 2.536 million, an increase of 24.15%. Changan’s growth far exceeds these figures, signaling a strong upward trend. The company has already surpassed its mid-year target, with production and sales reaching over 500,000 units for the full year. Industry analysts believe that Changan is reshaping the traditional dominance of FAW, SAIC, and other major auto groups, demonstrating its growing influence in the Chinese automotive sector. Changan’s brand value has also seen a significant boost. At the World Brand Conference held in Beijing on June 28, Changan ranked 60th among the "Top 500 Most Valuable Brands in China" with a brand value of 7.948 billion yuan, making it the top brand in Chongqing. This represents a substantial increase from the 5.23 billion yuan assessed by Beijing Famous Brand Asset Evaluation Co., Ltd. in 2002. According to Liu Yue, spokesperson for Changan Group, this rise reflects improved operational quality and long-term strategic development. Changan has established a diversified business structure, including partnerships such as the “Great Triangle” with Ford and Suzuki, as well as regional “small triangles” in Chongqing, Nanjing, and Hebei. The company has also expanded its product portfolio, focusing on micro-vehicles and sedans. With continued growth across all subsidiaries, including Changan Ford and Changan Suzuki, Changan Automobile Group is well on its way to achieving its annual goals and redefining its position in the industry.
