The structure and operation method of the united valve
United valve consists of a valve core and a valve seat. The valve seat is connected to the upper 4-5 inlet pipes, while the lower part is linked to an outlet pipe. The valve core is a cylindrical component with holes drilled at the bottom and middle of the cylinder, which are aligned vertically to allow fluid passage. The valve core and seat are designed with a dynamic fit to ensure smooth operation and proper sealing.
During boiler blowdown, the handwheel is rotated to move the valve core. When the central hole in the valve core aligns with the inlet port of the water inlet pipe, it allows water from the circulation loop to pass through the valve seat and exit from the lower part of the valve. This process continues until the sewage is fully drained.
To stop the flow, the handwheel is turned further so that the middle hole of the valve core is misaligned with the corresponding hole on the valve seat. This effectively blocks the flow, ensuring no more water is discharged.
When the system is shut down, the valve closes, and the spool lifts. This allows all five loops to be simultaneously drained through the valve seat, significantly reducing the time required for water discharge. The design ensures efficient and controlled operation during both blowdown and shutdown procedures.
