The first 185 heavy trucks of China National Heavy Duty Truck sold out in Vietnam
On October 23, Chairman Ma Chunji and Deputy General Manager Wei Zhihai of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC) were in Vietnam for market research and attended the handover ceremony hosted by Vietnam TMT. The first batch of 185 Sinotruk heavy trucks was quickly sold out, and more than 300 follow-up orders have already been placed, showing strong demand and confidence in CNHTC's products in the Vietnamese market.
During their visit, Ma Chunji and Wei Zhihai met with Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hu Qianwen and held discussions with high-ranking officials from the Communist Party of Vietnam, including the Mayor of Hai Phong City, the Secretary of the Xing An Provincial Party Committee, and the Minister of Transport. They also visited a key partner factory, where both sides exchanged views on future business cooperation. A consensus was reached on next year’s sales targets, with an ambitious goal of selling 2,500 to 3,000 vehicles in the Vietnamese market.
As the Vietnamese project continues to gain momentum, CNHTC is expanding its global footprint. This move is expected to enhance the company’s regional market structure and open up new opportunities for growth. With continued investment and strategic partnerships, CNHTC is well-positioned to strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia.
This year, CNHTC is projected to export over 10,000 units of heavy trucks, generating more than $350 million in foreign exchange. The company remains a leader in the national heavy truck industry, consistently setting new benchmarks in performance and market share.
