The 30,000-tonne neoprene rubber off-site technical transformation project of the Central Asia Joint Venture is a combination of China’s resource advantages and Asian advanced technology, talents, and idle equipment. Both sides have exchanged visits, technical negotiations, implementation of process technology, signing of joint venture contracts, and preparation. Project proposal, technical discussions and exchanges were completed, and the basic design was completed. It is understood that most of the detailed design for the chloroprene rubber supporting device in the second design institute of the chemical industry has been completed.
Nayirite is the largest and most important industrial enterprise in Armenia. It is a synthetic rubber production base before the dissolution of the former Soviet Union. It has more advanced production facilities in the world, and has strong scientific research strength and numerous senior experts. Shan Rubber Group is a large-scale enterprise mainly engaged in the production of chloroprene rubber in China. Its domestic market share of chloroprene rubber products is over 34%, and there is a small amount of exports.
The production of neoprene rubber is highly technical and capital intensive. Currently, it is only produced by Shan Rubber Group and Sichuan Changshou Chemical Plant. The total annual production capacity is about 40,000 tons. The introduction of technology in this project ranks at the advanced level in the world, and can change the situation of small-scale production and variety of chloroprene rubber in China. It can achieve the purpose of reducing raw material consumption and improving product quality, realize economic scale, and enter the ranks of world-leading chloroprene rubber.
