More than 1,300 auto makers exhibit at Beijing Auto Show
More than 1,300 automotive manufacturers from over 20 countries and regions are participating in the Beijing Auto Show, highlighting the growing vitality of the automotive market. Goodyear, a major player in the tire industry, has invested $120 million to expand its Dalian plant, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Chinese market. Through exclusive sponsorship of the press center at the auto show, Goodyear provided journalists with a comfortable and well-equipped environment. Over 3,000 media representatives from around the world visited the Goodyear News Center, enjoying modern facilities and excellent service. On June 9th, Goodyear also launched the Eagle F1 GS-D3 tire, featuring advanced "Extraction" technology. Additionally, the company announced a new investment of $120 million (approximately 1 billion yuan) to expand production capacity in Dalian to 5.25 million units, meeting the rising demand for replacement and accessory tires in China.
Bosch is also making significant moves in the Chinese market. The company recently announced a plan to add 200 professional maintenance networks nationwide by December, bringing the total to 310 service stations. Bosch also formed a new joint venture with Wuxi Weifu Group, focusing on providing advanced diesel common rail systems to Chinese customers. The new company will have a registered capital of $200 million and 1,500 employees, with Bosch holding a 67% stake. It is expected to start operations in the summer of 2004.
Alpine, a leading brand in car audio systems in China, showcased its latest 2004 products at the Beijing Auto Show.
