Box alarm in Plainfield, 6/12/15

This just came in from Andy Hilk regarding the fire incident he captured earlier today in Plainfield. The fire broke out along Lincoln Highway, specifically south of Renwick Road. From what Andy observed, Lockport was on the scene, and Elwood's tower ladder was actively involved. Additionally, the Plainfield truck was operating, and Naperville Engine 6 also responded. There were a few other units present, but due to the distance or lighting conditions, he couldn't identify them all. --- **From Andy Hilk:** "I managed to get a few shots of the fire in Plainfield this afternoon. It was quite an intense situation, and I tried to capture as much detail as possible. You can see the firefighters working hard, using the tower ladder to deploy their master stream. The teamwork between departments was impressive, especially how they coordinated efforts to bring the blaze under control." --- Here’s a closer look at some of the action shots Andy managed to take: ![Fire Engine Hooked to Hydrant](#) *Photo Credit: Andy Hilk* In this image, you can clearly see the fire engine connected to a hydrant, demonstrating the quick response by the firefighting team to establish a reliable water supply.
