3051 Transmitter fault code

3051 pressure transmitter menu content:
Error : The error message is displayed on the LCD monitor to inform about serious problems affecting transmitter operation. A linear meter displays an error message and changes the analog output is forced to the specified alarm level before the error condition is corrected. No other transmitter information is displayed in the alarm state.
FAIL : The transmitter CPU board and sensor module are incompatible. If you encounter this information and need help, please contact Rosemount Customer Center at 800-999-9307 .
Fail Module : The sensor module is disconnected or has failed. Verify that the sensor module ribbon cable is connected to the rear of the electronic circuit board. If the ribbon cable is connected correctly, there is a problem inside the sensor module. Possible sources of failure include: Sensor module receives no pressure or temperature updates. Non-volatile memory faults in the module affecting transmitter operation are detected by the memory verification program .
Fail Elect
: The transmitter electronics board has failed due to an internal failure. Some faulty electronic circuit board errors can be repaired by the user. With any "FACTORY (factory)" at the end of the error message indicates that the error can not be repaired.
Fail Config : A memory fault that affects the transmitter's operation is detected at a location and the fault can be repaired by the user.
Warnings : Warnings appearing on the LCD monitor inform you that the transmitter or transmitter is currently operating with problems that the user can repair. Warnings alternate with other transmitter information until the warning status is corrected or the transmitter completes generating a warning message.
Press Limit : The process variable read by the transmitter is not within the transmitter's range.
Temp Limit : The second variable read by the transmitter is not within the transmitter's range.
Curr Fixed : The transmitter is in a multi-station module. Analog outputs cannot track pressure changes.
Curr Saturd : The pressure read by the module is not within the specified range and the analog output is forced to change to saturation.
Loop Test : The loop test is in progress. During loop testing or 4-20 mA trimming, the analog output is set to a fixed value. Meter display unit with a current value display alternates between "LOOP TEST (Loop Test)" in selected in milliamps.
Xmtr Info (transmitter information): A non-volatile memory fault was detected by the memory verification program in the transmitter memory.
Operation : Normal operation information appears on the LCD head to confirm the action or to report the transmitter operating status. The operating information is displayed with other transmitter information and it is guaranteed that the transmitter settings will not be corrected or changed.
Zero Pass : The zero value set with the local zero adjustment button is accepted by the transmitter and the output should become 4 mA .
Zero Fail : The zero value set by the Zero Adjustment button of the unit exceeds the maximum turn-on ratio of the specified range or the pressure experienced by the transmitter exceeds the limit of the sensor.
Span Pass : The span value set with the local span adjustment button is accepted by the transmitter and the output should be changed to 20 mA .
Span Fail : The span value set with the Local Span Adjustment button exceeds the maximum span ratio for a specific range or the pressure experienced by the transmitter exceeds the sensor's limit value.
LOCAL DSBLD (This unit is disabled): This message appears when the range is reset with the integrated zero and span button, indicating that the transmitter's local zero and span adjustments are disabled. The local adjustment function may be disabled by the transmitter safety jumper on the transmitter circuit board or disabled by the 275 communicator command. Write Protect : This message appears if you attempt to change the transmitter's configuration data while the safety jumper is in the ON position. More information about installing jumpers.

Transmitter mA reading is zero

Check whether the signal terminal is powered on

Check if the polarity of the power cord is reversed

Verify terminal voltage is between 10.5 and 42.4 V dc

Check whether the open diode crosses the test terminal

Transmitter cannot communicate with HART communication device

Check if the output is between 4 and 20 mA or is a saturation level

Verify that the transmitter's DC power supply is clean (maximum AC noise between peak and peak is 0.2 volts)

Check loop resistance, minimum 250 ohms (supply voltage - transmitter voltage / loop current)
