Wheel pressure causes local friction

The design of the large flat steel gate is large, and the roller acts on the rail to generate high contact stress, which requires high material strength of the rail. The wheel load bearing from the track bearing wheel has certain impact and vibration effects, and the material of the track should have good plasticity and toughness.

According to the actual engineering application experience, alloy cast steel should be used, and the material should be quenched or otherwise heat treated to improve the plasticity and toughness of the material. For specific engineering design, the steel used should be selected according to the calculation of stress, plasticity and toughness requirements. When the wheel pressure is large, the plasticity requirement is high, and the strength requirement is not too high, ZG50Mn2 can be used; when the strength requirement is high, it can be sequentially selected from top to bottom.

When the steel gate is opened and closed, a very large local contact stress and friction are generated between the roller and the surface of the rail under a very large wheel pressure. The working characteristics of the rollers and rails require that they have high surface hardness and good wear resistance, and good internal plasticity and toughness, that is, the parts are hard and tough. For such parts, there should be different mechanical properties to adapt to different needs of the parts. The material selection mainly considers the toughness requirements inside the components, and the steel can be normalized or quenched and tempered to meet the design requirements of plasticity, toughness and strength. .

eference example: Water-sand blasting process with paint-removal and rust-removal from ships

With the water-sand blasting process, an abrasive agent is added to the high-pressure water, in order to enable efficient paint and rust removal from metallic surfaces. Dust contamination concerns mean that pure sand blasting is prohibited in many countries, or permissible only under strict conditions. Water-sand blasting is an alternative which enables the use of abrasive agents, such as sand, silica sand or ground blast furnace slag, in order to achieve different shot blasting results.

In comparison with purely abrasive agent shot blasting systems, this system has the advantage that no deformation (peening) arises in the shot blasted material. With the water-sand blasting process the heat is removed by the water so no form-changing heat concentration occurs in the shot blasted material. In addition, in case of paint removal with high pressure, the removed material is carried in the water and washed away.

In case of the water-sand blasting process, our AK600 HIGH PRESSURE GUN is provided with an injector, through which the abrasive additive is added to the water. With increasing operating pressure, the required quantity of abrasive agent reduces. Vice versa in comparison with pure water jets, a significantly lower pressure is required for a comparable result.
