From 2012 to 2013, the city will operate 1,000 pure electric buses in urban areas and build 8 charging and switching stations, including 2 landmark hubs. Before the end of June this year, Haitai will complete the construction of its iconic hub charging and replacement station and the city’s safety monitoring and management platform. The first batch of 40 pure electric vehicles will also be put into operation.
In the second half of this year, three additional charging and replacement stations, including R&F Tianjinnmen, Dayuzhuang, and Bus No.4, were completed, and a total of 460 pure electric buses were put into operation. In 2013, it plans to build four charging stations for the Haihe Education Park, Airport, Xiaodian and Bus Company. A total of eight charging and discharging stations can satisfy the operation of 1,000 pure electric buses.
By 2015, the number of pure electric buses operating in Tianjin will reach 2,000, including 1,500 in the urban area and 500 in the Binhai New Area. A total of 16 power stations have been built, including 12 in the urban area and 4 in the Binhai New Area.
