Local apparatus photos

Scott Peterson recently shared a few photographs capturing the details of two local fire apparatus: Palatine Rural Tender 36 and Rolling Meadows Engine 16. These images provide a glimpse into the history and capabilities of these essential emergency vehicles. The first photo features Palatine Rural Fire Protection District Tender 36, a unit built by US Tank in 1988 on an HME 1871 chassis. This tender is equipped with a 1,250-GPM pump and carries a water capacity of 3,200 gallons, making it a reliable resource for firefighting operations. The vehicle has stood the test of time and continues to serve the community with its durable design and functionality. Next, we see Rolling Meadows Engine 16, a 2004 American LaFrance Eagle. This pumper is well-equipped with a 1,500-GPM pump, 750 gallons of water, and two 30-gallon foam tanks, allowing it to respond effectively to a wide range of incidents. The second image highlights the officer's side of the engine, showcasing the layout and equipment found in the command area. These photos not only highlight the technical specifications of the units but also reflect the dedication and professionalism of the firefighters who operate them. Scott Peterson’s contributions offer a valuable visual record of these important pieces of equipment.
