Engel and Magna show unbuttoned car interior on NPE

At this year's NPE in Orlando, an ENGEL duo 350 injection molding machine will use the Clearmelt process to demonstrate the molding process of the console. The process will integrate an in-mold labeling capacitor aluminum foil. Magna Interior Systems Inc. in Munich, Germany will provide processing support for live demos.

By rotating the laminate technology, the top of the black center console is moulded from an ABS/polycarbonate hybrid material, while the preforms made in the previous cycle are overmolded with the polyurethane in the other half of the mould. together.

The first component pops up after the capacitor foil is inserted into the mold.

The entire molding process will be automated by the Engel Viper 20 and Viper 40 linear robots.
