Product Description:
The Dupont Impact Testing Equipment is designed to evaluate the impact resistance of coated materials after they have been applied. The coated surface of the specimen is placed face up, connected with an impact head of a specified radius, and then struck by a certain weight at a fixed height. After the impact, the damage to the coating or deformation is inspected.
To conduct an impact test on paint and coating materials, an impact head with various rounded angles is first used to touch the specimen, followed by a selected weight that freely drops from a specific height to hit the impact head and strike the specimen. This process is repeated for three more specimens, which are then left for an hour before checking for cracks in the paint.
Usage:
The method of using the impact test machine involves dropping a steel hammer of a given weight from a regulated height to strike the sample, and the quality is evaluated based on the extent of the damage.
This equipment is suitable for testing materials such as plastics, ceramics, acrylics, and glass fiber.
