Chicago Still & Box Alarm, 12-4-14

I just witnessed an intense fire incident on 21st Place. When we arrived there, it was already well underway—starting from the garage and quickly spreading to the connected apartment. The firefighters were on the scene within about five minutes, but the flames had already taken hold of the garage. They soon realized the fire had extended to the apartment above, prompting them to call for additional resources. The situation was chaotic yet controlled, with crews working diligently to douse the flames and prevent further damage. I managed to capture some images that give you a glimpse into the intensity of the moment. Here’s a quick look at what unfolded: [Image description: Firefighters standing in the alleyway, ready with a hose line.] This photo captures the urgency of their response as they prepared to tackle the blaze head-on.
