Chicago Still Alarm fire, 2/7/15

From what Eric Haak shared: --- I captured this still image around 9:15 AM on Saturday (February 7, 2015) at 3259 South Halsted Street. Unfortunately, I arrived just five minutes too late, and by the time I got there, firefighters had already made significant progress containing the blaze. The fire seemed to be largely confined to the rear porches of a sizable three-story mixed-use building. Enginemen from Units 29 and 28, along with Ladder Companies 8 and 11, were on the scene. It was quite challenging to get a clear shot of Engine 29 due to the angle and sunlight. Attached are some photos I managed to take: - The first image shows firefighters working on the roof during the overhaul phase. - Another photo captures firefighters using a 35-foot ladder to access higher areas of the structure. - You can also see Chicago Fire Department Engine 28 clearly in action. - There’s another shot featuring Ladder Truck 8, which played an essential role in the operation. Despite my late arrival, I’m glad I could document parts of the incident. These images provide a glimpse into the hard work and dedication of the firefighters who responded to the emergency. --- *(Note: All images are credited to Eric Haak.)*
