More photos from yesterday's special event honoring Engine 2, the Christopher Wheatley, are now available. Karl Klotz submitted several images capturing the momentous occasion and the new fireboat. Larry Shapiro has a full gallery of photos here, though he hasn't posted the full set of the dedication yet. Gordon J. Nord Jr. also shared a few pictures of the boat on his page, but he hasn’t released all the images or the ceremony shots just yet.

The event was a proud moment for the Chicago Fire Department, celebrating the new Engine 2, named in honor of firefighter Christopher Wheatley.
