Building fire in Chicago 4-21-13 (pt 2)

This morning, there was a fire on South Michigan Avenue that I got to witness and document. It happened around 113th Street and Michigan Avenue. By the time I arrived, Battalion 22 and their team already had the situation under control. The fire broke out in a two-story, ordinary brick building measuring about 25 by 50 feet. According to Battalion Chief 22, the fire was severe on the second floor and had spread into the attic area. When I got there, the flames were mostly contained, and the firefighters were just mopping up the last bits of smoke. It was an intense scene earlier, with heavy fire visible from the outside, but the quick response of the firefighters made a huge difference. I took some photos while I was there, capturing moments from different angles. The dedication of these firefighters was evident as they worked tirelessly to ensure the fire didn’t spread further. Here are a few images I snapped, including shots of the fire engines on the scene, firefighters working on the roof, and teams operating from ladders. It's always humbling to see how quickly these professionals can respond and manage such situations. Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work today. [Attached are my photos taken throughout the incident.]
