The different types of tooth forms are designed based on the cutting requirements. Choosing the right tooth form is essential for optimal performance. Here's a guide to help you select the appropriate type:

1. Tooth Form "A" and "AW"
These are ideal for thin metal slitting saw blades with a tooth pitch up to approximately 3.0mm. They are suitable for cutting brass. Tooth form "A" is best for slotting materials, while "AW" features alternating beveled teeth.

2. Tooth Form "B" and "BW"
Recommended for cutting tubes and profiles made of steel or non-ferrous metals. "B" is especially suited for very thin-walled pipes and profiles, while "BW" has alternately beveled teeth.

3. Tooth Form HZ
This tooth design is also known as "HZ". It follows a roughing and finishing system, where one tooth is roughing (1/3 cutting width) and the other is finishing (2/3 cutting width). The roughing tooth is about 0.2–0.3mm higher than the finishing one. This form is ideal for solid material cutting.

4. Tooth Form BR
Known as a parrot tooth with a chip breaker, this form is suitable for high-performance pipe cutting due to its side-cutting capability.
