This is a throwback from Dennis McGuire, Jr. for #TBT: Take a trip back to January 18th, 1994—a day when temperatures were bone-chilling. The high only reached 11 degrees below zero, after a morning low of 21 degrees below, resulting in an average temperature of 16 degrees below zero. On the south side of Chicago, fire crews were battling a fire at a four-story apartment building located at 8049-59 S. St. Lawrence, with the incident reported as a 2-11. Dennis McGuire, Jr. photo
Looking back at this moment reminds us of how harsh the winter could be and how brave the firefighters were in such extreme conditions. It’s always fascinating to see historical photos that capture real-life events. If you want to explore more images from this time, check out the gallery below. More photos HERE.
The Gas Protection Welding Wire is a type of copper-plated low alloy steel gas shielded Welding wire, using carbon dioxide or argon-rich as the shielding gas for welding. It has excellent welding process performance, stable arc combustion, less spatter, beautiful weld forming, small sensitivity of weld metal porosity, good welding technology in all position, and can be suitable for a wide range of welding current.
